Maattraan - Motivated By Siamese Twins "Chang and Eng Bunker" - Not "StuckOnYou"

Maattraan Official One Minute Teaser was released yesterday, and in no time has the so called "reviews" of the movie is coming out from various social groups and pages. Thanks to Facebook for making several immature kids, as owners of hugely popular fan pages. I am writing this post not to confirm anything, i am here to tell you what's the difference between "Inspiration" and "Remake".



First of all, I've to tell you what's going on in the social media for the past one day :
Fans of a particular actor, are always known to cause problems to other competitive movies that are released. This time, they have started doing it for Maattraan. Once the teaser was released, seeing the "Conjoined Twins" concept, they straight away claimed that the movie is copied off the Hollywood movie "StuckOnYou". Serious pathetic people they are.
Please note: I am not flaming at the whole Fan base, but a particular group of immature kids.

What's the fuss about Maattraan ? 
-Maattraan is a serious action thriller that is based on a story scripted by Subha. Surya acting as Siamese twins (aka Conjoined Twins) with Kajal Agarwal as heroine.This has nothing to do with any other films, if it really does, One cannot simply go ahead and produce such a massive movie without one's proper permissions. And AGS Entertainment, along with K.V.Anand, are no exceptions to misuse the law. So clearly, Maattraan is not a remake. 

What is the story going around in Facebook ?

 

 As you can see from the above picture, a poster of "StuckOnYou" movie has been compared with Maattraan's Picture. What makes me laugh is, one cannot simple call a whole movie as copy just by seeing a one minute teaser of it. How the hell are you able to judge a movie by just seeing the teaser ? Seriously ???

StuckOnYou movie has got nothing to do with Maattraan! 

StuckOnYou was a movie that was released on the year 2003 and it was a comedy flick.Which is clearly not the case with Maattraan, as Maattraan is a serious action thriller, with very little scope of comedy.
And Stuck On You is a flick with two different actors who can easily stand next to each other.. While on Maatran its with the same actor who has to burden both the roles in an action thriller..not that easy.

One more reason is, Maattraan would most probably feature Surya as conjoined twins for only a part of the movie, for the rest half they would turn out to be enemies (They would be operated on and split) . This is also confirmed as they used the unique PTC technology in the climax sequences. To add to my support, official pictures from the Maattraan team shows Surya in conjoined twins look as well as single looks (song sequences and a charming young look with kajal agarwal).
